TAKE ACTION TO SAVE OUR STATE PARKS!

TAKE ACTION TO SAVE OUR STATE PARKS!

The most recent version of Ohio’s budget bill includes a proposal meant to fast track oil and gas development on Ohio’s public lands. This final version of the budget is on its way to Governor Kasich as you read this.

You have less than 48 hours to weigh in: fracking should stay OUT of Ohio’s precious state parks and forest. Tell Governor Kasich to veto the state parks fracking provision of the Ohio budget bill!

Governor Kasich currently holds the ability to appoint members of the Oil and Gas Leasing Commission and has refused to do so. He has effectively put a moratorium on oil and gas drilling on Ohio’s precious state parks and forests.

Members of the Ohio Legislature want to sidestep the Governor in an effort to open up our state public lands to drilling. Worse still, they’re trying to cram this change into the massive state budget bill in an effort to sweep these changes under the rug and keep you from noticing.

Governor Kasich needs to hear from you! Let him know that you support his decision to keep fracking out of state parks and forests.

Don’t wait to take action! The budget could be decided at any moment and your voice is critical to ensuring our parks and forests remain protected places for adventure and outdoor beauty.
